DispatchTrack’s 2024 Last Mile Outlook offers new insights into how businesses are thinking about and tackling this year's challenges, based on a survey of more than 100 logistics professionals. The report shows an easing supply chain crisis but continued cost pressures for 3PL providers, retailers, distributors, and others—as well as giving a glimpse into how these businesses are thinking about and preparing for holiday delivery challenges. 

Here are some of the key takeaways:

  • 86% of logistics professionals expect fuel and other operating costs to increase again this year.
  • 39% expect business to be down while 29% expect business to be better. 17% are uncertain.
  • 48% are not concerned with inventory shortages or oversupply this year.
  • But 45% have invested in new technology or expanded their investment in existing technologies this year.
